Hi Wes:

The SC (non-ferruled) wood rims do show up on eBay from time to time, but are generally pretty pricey when NOS from what I've seen. The Ghisallo (also non-ferruled) laminated ash rims from the late '70s were more common I think - Bike Nashbar blew them out cheaply around 1982 or so IIRC. I have a pair laced to Record low-flange hubs on my eclectic Zeus/Campy/Suntour/Roto-equipped Stella. The rims draw a lot of attention on group rides, that's for sure. The only issue I've had with them is the braking surface grabbing/squealing a bit sometimes.

The wood-reinforced Scheeren Standards, at about 270 grams, are very cool rims for lighter riders IMO. I've got an ancient set on my '69 Raleigh Pro, and they are a very strong rim for their weight. My understanding is that they were a "hot setup" back in the '60s and '70s. Mine are 120mm-spaced, tho' - not sure about 130 - I don't have anything that new...!

The Scheeren Weltmeisters, at 200 grams, are really nice track-specific rims, on the other hand....

Hope this helps.
