It's a looker, not a rider. The 1" fork, light tubing, insufficient stoker room would keep it from riding as well as a tandem built by someone who understands them--probably the only vintage tandems that would ride like good contemporary ones (or even close to it) would be from those companies like Herse and Jack Taylor who seemed like they understood that a tandem was more than just their standard bike with a second seat.
