This is a different seller. He had a head badge listed as "Tegnano" about the time I got the Nichols from "frankjuliek". Both the Legnano chainstays seem to be curved in the "modern style". Perhaps some well meaning noodnick modernized it.

The guy who sold me the Nichols clearly left the idea that the frame was "as put away.. and lovingly stored...since 1961". Not an exact quote, but definitely the impression. The fresh paint still isn't dry after baking in my attic for several months. He'd have quite a career if he stuck to writing fiction, or as Shelly Berman used to say "I know many a liar doing very well these days...making out airline schedules..."
