Hmmm. Michael, you are indeed new.... I think you are off and running before you understand thoroughly how this list functions. Let me insert here a bit taken from the "rules":

<<- Courteous exchanges only. The list is not intended as a debate forum; in fact, it is not intended to be a "chat list" at all but one in which every post contributes to the communal knowledge base. Passionate disagreements may not be indulged in on-list.

- Members disregarding these guidelines will be summarily removed from the list.

I do allow a certain degree of discussion as it applies to the parameters of the topic and occasionally folks wonder what is on topic. I think that is OK. I believe that's how the current thread began. But I will ask anyone to leave the CR list who wants to debate stuff vociferously. In the early days, we have had too much "controversy" and people firing away. It is not what I want on this list.

You mentioned democracy.. Please do not make the mistake that the CR list operates as a democracy. It is owned solely by me and I have invited you to be a part so long as you play the game according to the rules. If you want to offer constructive criticism, do it privately to me and we can talk about it. Do not post it to the whole list, as that is off topic.

Thanks Dale
