I take that you are refering to Daccordi. They are an old established reality in the Italian frame-building world. I thought that they went back to the 50's, but from their web-site it says that the company was founded in 1937. You can check out their web-site yourself at http://www.daccordi-cicli.com
They sponsored Gianni Savio's pro teams for a few years. Savio is known to have 'discovered' a number of unknown cyclists and made them into discreet professionals. He is also known to be a very principled one-man show who liked getting his photo taken. His teams almost always worked on a shoe-string budget with Selle Italia as his biggest co-sponsor. It is rumoured that he didn't want to have to deal with any of the 'big' names in frame-building and instead sought out Daccordi because of their high quality. Their bikes are definitely nice but have always lacked 'mojo'. They still make quite a few steel frames, however, not with lugs. They are based in the Province of Pisa.
