I set up all of my bikes this way. I'm left-handed, too, but my choice has more to do with having ridden motorcycles for a number of years, where the front brake is always on the right. It also seemed to make more sense to me to be able to brake for a turn while signalling inattentive motorists with my left hand.

Chris Qvale told me he sets up his bikes with the right lever operating the front brake, because 90+% of people are right-handed, and therefore their right hand is stronger. He opined that he thought it would reduce the tendency of right-0handers to lock up the rear brake.
