I have a related, although out of the time frame, set of parts. Not sure of the date, but Tange made some prototype stainless tubing sets for Trek. Around 1983 I think, and only a few sets. I was close to Tange and got a set. I also was trying to do some deal with Trek at this time and asked if they had any SS lugs, BB, and other frame parts. They did and I got them. I never built this tubing into a frame, as it was too short for my size. So I still have this stuff. Really nice double butted tubing, Reynolds style fork blades as I remember, all polished. What should I do with it?

Another question for the frame builders out there. I have one of my personal Merz frames made from 753, I rode it up until about a year ago. One seat stay broke the at the top. I talked to T. A. Bill at Reynolds about getting new seat stay tubes and he said he would fix me up. He sent me some tubes, but they were not 753, heavier stuff. Also after I striped the paint I saw that the seat tube was cracked also. I wonder if anyone has a set of seat stays and a seat tube in 753? The seat tube is also French (28mm), so I can't just use something else. I would really like to fix this frame as it is the only Merz road frame I have.

Whoops, I forgot to credit the photographer, who is also the arts patron the frame was built for, Ray "Don" Chong.
