The containers for silver brazing alloy say "silver brazing alloy" on them. Not exactly a surprise. No mention of "soldering" anywhere on the text of two different companies packaging. It comes in coils which I straighten out and sand lightly with 240 grit utility cloth and wipe down with lacquer thinner just before use.
