I'm not offended by your comments.... but I would like to suggest to you that Campagnolo HAD, not has shortcomings, in this regard. Nice to criticize about something with 20 or 30 years of hindsight. That's harsh. Haven't later groups addressed these issues? Or did Campagnolo stop making super record in the eighties just to piss off retro-grouches?

All manufacturers have periods of greatness, and great troubles. Your Ferrari analogy is a perfect one. In Formula one, they've had many ups and downs. When Michael arrived there they couldn't keep the drive shafts from falling out exiting the pits....hardly glory days, but now everyone can't heap enough brilliance on them... go figure.
