I wouldn't say it was a made up brand. Both Arthur Metcalfe and Wes Mason grafted in the frame shop. Wes Mason learnt his frame building craft at Carlton Cycles for whom he rode for for a while. As a matter of interest, a well known British time trialist of the day, Ian White from York was the paint sprayer. The factory in Harrogate was called Chapel Works, being the premises of a former chapel which Ron Kitching purchased.
