Hi list,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all on the list who came to my aid in the first phase of restoration(?) of my Serial #4 '81 531SL TI-Raleigh. After almost ten years of sitting gathering dust, the bike is finally back on the road. I will make pics available when I get the chance.
I would like to thank Brian Baylis, Steven Birmingham, Derek Wilburn, and Mike Mullett who came through with various vital bits and pieces. But I would especially like to thank David Bilkeney who very graciously gave up a whole afternoon to check and re-check my botchings (and some weird peculiarities) and put everything in final order. It was a most enjoyable afternoon and was representative of the graciousness and genuine interest I have come to expect of CR listers -even though I am a relative newbie on the list. What a great group you all are!
Now maybe a winter re-paint. Trying to find someone who will do it for me - hopefully close to home.
