Hello.

I admire French the bicycle industry. We've never had the likes of Stronglight, Mavic, Simplex, Huret, Mafac, T.A., Super Champ, or Ideale here in The States.

Snooty or not, at least the French gave it a try.

And St. Etienne is still a warmbed of design and manufacturing.

The good news for French bicycle fans is that Decathlon will soon be opening stores on the east coast of the US and their wonderful designs will be available here. Along with their horrible paint jobs.

And in regards to French autos, I've spent way more time behind the wheel of French cars than most Americans and like them just as much as my old Pontiac.

I respect what the French have done for cycling and autos.

And pastry.

And perfume.

And cuisine.

And couture.

And if anyone has a set of new Super Champion 58s that they's like to get rid of, please let me know.

All the best,

Matthew Grimm Shakopee, Minnesota, USA
