This is my first post and I don't have my Vintage bike yet. I have a CoMotion Esspresso Fillet brazed and it will someday be a vintage classic. I do have a thought on the helmet issue. I have a Vintage Bruce Gordon cap from back in the stone age when he was in Eugene, Oregon. I took it with me to the weekly fast ride and wore it into the soda shop after the ride. I got a lot of oohs and ahs for the cap. My solution to the helmet no helmet question? Wear the best helmet you can get to protect your brain while riding. Wear an appropriate vintage cap for when you are standing around showing off your best bike.
