Actually very pretty paint job with unusual, often pleasing metallic shades. Sold here at Proteus bikes in College Park, I still see a few and never fail to ask owners if they like them.The headtube had a stylized , Deco Lotus flower;I think a bronze colored badge-very cool. Owners still speak highly of them. As I remember even their lower models were quite attractive. (Later they degenerated according to one listmember commenting a few months ago. Sears got the name.)
Paint jobs must have been fairly durable because I still seee some nice looking, well ridden examples.In the archives you will see someone, I think Mr. Schmidt, kindly listed all the models, some of which had the same name as Lotus car models, just as I remembered.. My guess was a little better than the better Centurions, Niskis,or Shogun that I had. I considered a Lotus at the time, and that is why my memory serves me fairly well. BTW I think i saw one in great shape at Proteus a month or two ago.

A friend of mine in the md-80's had a couple of these. Pretty nice mass-produced Japanese bikes on a par with the beter Nishikis or Fujis. The paint jobs were a bit better than some.
