I hope this is on topic because its a freewheeel question. I get a skip on one cog and one cog only. Now we are talking brand spanking new sachs 7 spd FW and new chain, nearly new chainwheels certainly not worn out, old but clean tight rear der. It is cog five (cant count the teeth the bike was just stolen so maybe this is moot. I sure hope to get it back. Keep a look out for an old Specialized Expedition) . the chain jumps a few links ahead it when I put load on it. I have tried to make it skip with all other gearing combinations without success. Alignment is excellent. Magnifying glass inspection reveals nothing - it looks perfectly symmetrical and undamaged, each tooth identical, cog spacing also perfect. Comments?
