While I don't believe my sources are infallible, I got this one from the February 1988 Bicycling Magazine road test, specs on page 106 that lists Corso as the distributor. I didn't say Corso was the importer, so I can't speak to that factoid. By the way, the road test was an SLX Air. And, the article lists SOcieta MECcaniche, not the Società Meccanica from Steven Maasland. But, since the http://www.somec.com/storia.htm lists "Mechanic's Society" acronym, "Societa' Mecchanica", give Steven the prize.
