David et al,

Just a few tidbits of info.

Based on my experience, the Peugeot of the early to mid 1970's only had a decal "headbadge" but that the PR-10 did indeed come with a headbadge that was plastic with a chromed metal surround and two rivits attaching it - one at the top and one at the bottom. The badge was a bit narrower and taller than the one in the link below. These badges show up on eBay with some regularity so if no one from the list has offered you one, be patient and you should have success sometime not to far off.

The frame in the link you're referencing below was purchased by me. Paint and decals are 100% original. I have not received it yet but have numerous close-up shots and detailed description beyond the eBay description. Very interestingly (at least to me; self acknowledged Peugeot-aholic) is that the badge on this frameset is a decal with two real rivits! Notice also that it has the down tube decal scheme of early-mid PX-10's but also note that it has the rear Simplex non-drive side drop out with the "wheel guide tang" as used only up 'til the late 60's or very early 1970's. My guess as to why the headbadge decal has real rivits is that this is one of the very last frames with the drop out "tang," but also one of the very first frames with the 'new' decal scheme just after they stopped using the metal headbadges. I have never seen a Peugeot PX-10 with these decals and a metal badge - frame was probably made just like the one or few before it and therefore drilled for the metal headbadge and its respective rivits.

Anyone have more experience or another theory??
