Back in my college days, I wore the black ones day in day out for 3 years, the most comfortable shoes that I ever found that worked both for cycling and walking.
I had a pair of Patrick Xcountry skiing shoes. Were OK.
Used Bata bikers. First pair in 1977. I used them soley for riding, didn't use them when putting the shot in high school but many of the college atheletes did. I had really cool neon yellow/green laces.
On my second pair presently. I found them in a bike shop 5 years ago. I suppose not too much of a market for size 13 bike shoes that are 20 something years old.
It the past I also purchased a pair of performance bike shoes for toe clips early 80s that were so so. This year a pair of Scott 360 shoes for clipless pedals. Luck would have it my only turtle so far was done without audiance in Cooks Forrest PA.
