Sounds like you have a new candle-holder in you possession. A broken
hub flange, particularly in the front, can be a disastrous event when
it breaks causing the wheel to fold. I've had a rear flange break
and all that happened was the wheel jammed it self against the
chainstay making me skid to a stop. My advice would be to stop
riding the wheel and look for a new hub.
