I got an $89 rate at the hotel a couple of days ago using AAA discount. They couldn't give me that rate for Thursday, only Friday and Saturday, but it was better than nothing. I'm still up in the air (as in without accommodations for Thursday) if anyone of the single female variety is up for sharing. If there are any.....

Dear List, At Chuck's urging, I share my experience w/youse all. Please be nice to her ,as she is a very sweet lady. But be firm. Its not our fault their e-mail was down. Be aware however that there is some big football(U.S. style) game in town that weekend. Seems to be one reason for less availability. And DON'T tell her I said to call!!!! Whomever ths helps; beers on you. ciao, GianTindaro Pergolizzi N.Y.C. just back from 40 mi. in Prospect Park, Brooklyn.

Those are not Oscar Egg lugs - they are one of the numerous versions of the Nervex Serie Legere lugs. Oscar Egg style lugs are a good deal plainer - being really from a slightly earlier era.

I believe you are correct. I recall seeing a beautiful late 40's Gillott at Lars Anderson a few years ago that was owned by a Boston collector, built with very elegant O/E lugs with a double spearpoint detail. I don't know much of the variations of OE lugs, however. Is this classic content?? Pam Knight, Western New York
