Another great meeting with a CR listmember. Steven Maasland picked me up in his gorgeous 54 Fiat convertible--all 28 horsepower and unsynchronized transmission. If we had of been 20 something, we would have been chasing the women at Princeton as the car is a real head turner. No seatbelts and having Stephen's door fly open on a right hand turn were real highlights!! We went to Kopp's Cycles, oldest continuously operated bike shop in the U.S. We did get "upstairs" and spent about 10 minutes before the young worker got concerned and asked us to come down. Early (50s?) Cinelli track and tandem, 70s Wilier, possibly pre 40s Durkopp track, early Dahon folding, and a few others all piled together in a very unpreservation-like manner. Great conversation and we both recharged our brains in a walk around the Princeton campus. I thought for a moment that we might have raised the average IQ, but on second thought.......Lou Deeter, Orlando FL on temporary load to NJ.
