I've just relisted a '65 Paramount frame. Here's a story: a bid was placed at the minimum and about a day before auction-end, I received an e-mail to tell me that the bid would be withdrawn. It wasn't. With moments to go a better bid was placed and the winner never confirmed or responded. When I tried to leave feedback, I had second thoughts and tried to use the e-bay link to contact the buyer again. Now e-bay has no member under that e-mail address. Interesting ploy, if it was, to preserve an e-bay status.....outbid yourself with a different name and then kill the name.
Am I paranoid, or has anyone else seen this sort of thing?
