Are stronger bolts an option? I switched the stock bolts on my Avocet seatposts early on with longer bolts from a local specialty bolt shop, so that I'd have a few more threads to work with, and I haven't had problems.
BTW, are there good quality seatposts available today with as much setback as the Avocets?
