I was surprised to see the number of comments my posting elicited. Sorry that the posting had no photo. At the moment I am unable to send a photo small enough to make it through to E-Bay. As I mentioned in the posting, I am happy to answer any and all questions regarding the bike. With regard to the point of documentation raised by John Dunn, I can provide whatever one might want in order to prove authenticity including a conversation with Jim Merz & Mark Dinucci, who built the bike or Mike Sinyard, owner of Specialized.
To answer some of the other questions:
-Yes, the was the prototype for the1982 model year. -Crank in photo is a Stronglight 49. As a prototype, only a frame was provided to the factory in Japan. I have most, but not all correct, period pieces. -Original bikes weighed approx 36lbs depending on size.
