Subject: [CR]Cinelli Decals - Part 2

Hi all,

In my reply to Kevin's request for advice with respect to the decision to decal the downtube on his Cinelli, I stated that the decals I used were a waterslide type. I received a reply off-list from a collector on the East Coast indicating that the decals were actually a varnish fix decal. The decals are rubbed on, the protective backing is removed, and then varnish is used to protect then. I can't describe this process correctly so I am hoping that someone else on the list will pick up the ball on this entire process. The point I wanted to make originally was that it was a rather tedious and time consuming project, thus Spence Wolfe would let the individual owner's apply the decals if they wanted them. The Wolfe's walked me through the project and it worked out quite well. Sorry about any misinformation I may have dispersed, my memory just is not that good to remember all of those details. Thank you for your understanding in this matter and a special thank you to the person that brought this to my attention.

Regards,

Jim Narlesky San Jose, CA

PS: Kevin, the downtube decals are way cool!
