Subject: [CR]Stronglight plastic Headset discoloration

Hi I have Stronglight plastic Headsets in a couple of bikes (not lost any teeth yet!!) and after 12 years or so, the plastic, originally black colored, cups have turned greyish. Is there any quick treatment for this, to restore the original color/finish?

Also: Brooks B-17 users: apart from using a post with more setback/offset (which?), is there any easy way to jam the B-17 further back on the rails? Current configuration is: Turbo, Ritchey pre-WCS post, offering about just 15mm of setback, but am comfortable with this. When I substitute the B-17 I feel like I am riding about an inch "shorter". I am about 6 feet 1", with fairly long legs, and usually need the rails at the back on most saddles. Thanks Neill
