Subject: [CR]Trade framebuilders in France

Friends, All this frank talk of trade framebuilders in England made me wonder about the situation in France. I'm pretty much convinced that the LeJeune frames, for example, were built by a trade frame builder. I was able to ask Marcel LeJeune about it when I visited his premises in 1983. Of course I was given a really vague, cryptic answer. Meanwhile back in the states, I was able to ask Mel Pinto the same question and once again received a vague, crytic answer. (Except, at that point I knew it wasn't due to the limitations of my French vocabulary.) Clearly there were trade framebuilders in France, at both the mass produced and quality hand-built levels. But who were they? Cheers, Fred Rednor - Arlington, Virginia
