Ted,

I remember taking a "ride" with a few friends in about 1972 from Huntington Beach, CA to Berkekey, CA where we went to the Velo Sport bike shop. I bought four Campy brake blocks and pads from them. Then I realized I didn't have enough money to make it home so a friend and I had to hitchhike all the way home. Oh, to be a kid again!

On the way NORTH on the coast we got blown off the road by a gust of wind as we rounded a coastal curve in Big Sur. Is that what you're talking about, Ted?
