Here's a link to what Sheldon has to say about Centurion, http://www.sheldonbrown.com/japan.html#centurion. I actually own the bike you're referring to. It was my first nice bike. I bought it in the mid-80s and I still enjoy riding today.

I believe Tange 1 was the grade down from Prestige which means it was just thicker at some points (someone feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken). Though I can't vouch for their correctness, Jalon Hawk at Desperado Cycles in Madison has some tables with tubing info, including Tange 1, on his site, http://www.desperadocycles.com/The_Lowdown_On_Tubing/About_Steel_Tubing_frameset.htm.
