I have received your order for the CR wool jersey and thanks to you all.
As of today, January 3, 2002, I have 29 firm orders. As you may recall, I determined I needed at least 40 advance orders to go ahead with the 100 jersey buy in. I am nervous to push on at this point, as I really ought not tie up the many thousands of dollars in these garments if there is not a good chance of "turning" the jerseys in a reasonable time frame. Even if we have 40 signups, I then have 60 jerseys to sell and the deposits advance orders total will not cover the down payment I must give Alex to begin the job....The jerseys' markup is minimal, certainly not a defendable proposition in business terms, i.e., I would have a hard time explaining this venture to my accountant as he expects CDO funds to contribute to the rent and staff wages, etc. Silly fellow.
So.....I will make another plea to the 500 plus members of the CR list but if a hearty response is not seen by the 15th, I will have to return your checks. This does not reflect upon you folks but more on the rest of the crew for not stepping up.... Anyway, cross your fingers! Thanks, Dale
