As I wade through the 5 years worth of Cycle Sport magazines that I recently bought, I continue to find neat quotes, pictures, and retro articles. In a review of the 99 Record group, here is what they had to say about Super Record. "Campagnolo's late-70s Super Record group was once the pinnacle of precision cycle engineering and yet, while its elegant, classical styling remains unimpeachable, its performance is deeply disappointing by current standards. The gear shift is both slow and imprecise thanks to the friction levers and primitive derailleur geometry, while the long-reach caliper and rock-hard rubber blocks deliver frighteningly poor wet-weather braking."
