Greetings

I am enquiring about a Dia Comp long reach, side pull rear brake.

On the left arm it has an unusual cable attachment arm instead of a cable clamp nut. It has an arm assembly that has been pressed into where the cable anchor would usually be.

Onto the bottom of the arm assembly on the left arm is a rocker arm that articulates the movement of the right hand arm as well, acting as an additional lever.

On the top of the arm is a screw with a spring to adjust the spacing of the brake pads. On the pivot it has a red washer with the word deluxe. The right arm has a cable stop with no adjusting barrel. Would this happen to be a copy of something European. Bike was early 70's

Kind of a quirky way to increase mechanical advantage and adjust the brakes. Kind of English????? Any guesses?
