The Wright brothers started making the Van Cleve,St Clair and Wright Special around 1896. total production less than 200 bicycles according to the ledgers. Carillon Park Dayton, Ohio has two mens,Air Force Museum one ladies and Henry Ford Museum three mens models, these are all that is known. I have been researching the Wright brotherc cyling history for 20 years now and am still learning about them Orville Wright raced for a short time winng the Ohio YMCA championship in two events and 2nd in the other race. Orville raced in the professinal races in Dayton later the same year 1894 and won a rocking chair. Wilbur did not race because of a injury.
