Those Champagne Nishiki ONP's were nice examples. We even liked them much better than the blue Nishiki 'team' that was a Colnago product. Nishiki was a product of the Bicycle Products Development Group, Later West Coast Cycle. Their other products were Windsor (Mexico), Mundo (?),and Azuki (Japan)

There was some relationship to Montrose, I recall. There were the Cohen brothers, Howie and Leo, and Also the Hansings, Bob and Jim. One of the Hansings recently passed away. One was involved in the Montrose shop and the other in West Coast cycle. There wwas also a connection to Euro Asia Imports, and that as the one who died last year as I remember. Japanese bikes are not mentioned as often on this list, but they were in a heyday when many of us started or were into the sport during the bike booms of '72 and '79.
