Hi Gang,

I am eagerly awaiting the imminent arrival of the 1982 Bob Jackson 531c from Pete Paine (yes I am the lucky SOB). It will be nice to have something else to talk about other than the Raleigh and will be great to have a second road bike to add to my modest collection. I am planning a build with mostly NR parts (SR brakeset, as I had the calipers already) that I have been gathering. I had contemplated getting away from Campy but weakened! I would however be curious to hear ideas of how else I might build an English bike of this date.

I want to use the BJ as a multipurpose bike and rest the Raleigh until those nice summer months return. Consequently, I want to put fenders on the BJ (it has eyelets) and slightly larger tyres. Three questions:

1) Can I have some recommendations please on what fenders are out there - I don't suppose the Bluemel's Club Specials are easily found now - what is a good modern alternative?

2) Also where may I source TA bottle cages or equivalents?

3) What chains are a good alternative to the Sedisport which I have always used (are Sedis chains still available)?

Thanks in advance,
