I finally managed to a translator who can handle Japanese/English cycling translations. I am proposing to get three chapters of the Japanese René Herse book translated, those that appear to deal with construction techniques of how the Herses were built.

The cost for this will be about $ 350 or so. Being a translator myself, this is cheap, but the translator understands it is a hobby project and we don't have much to spend.

To spread the cost, I will make the translation available to anybody who is interested at a cost of $ 15. I figure there are about 30 copies in the U.S., and if half of those contribute to the translation, I'll have to cover only a little over $ 100.

If this is of interest, please mail $ 15.00 with a note "Herse translation" to Jan Heine c/o Il Vecchio Bicycles, 140 Lakeside Ave., Seattle WA 98122.

Please understand that the material in the book is copyrighted. So this is not for further publication or distribution.

Best regards,

Jan Heine, Seattle
