I've noted that lately some of the Japanese buyers have begun entering auctions much nearer the very end. I think some of them have realized that desirable items get bid up much higher when the bidding commences early in the auction period.

I'm with Steve: It'll sell and, more than likely, to a Japanese buyer. Furthermore, I'l bet many of the Japanese buyers have spotted it already.
