Dear listees, FOR SALE: 1975 Motebecane "Grand Record" bicycle(MADE IN FRANCE).Appears to be all original. I am not the original owner but I do have the Motebecane bicycle catalog and everything seems to be on this bicycle as originally specified,sans (less) toe clips and straps. Listed weight of bicycle is 23 lbs. Frame is Reynolds 531 double butted throughout (frame and fork) with Nervex Professional lugs,with Campagnola dropouts with eyelets.Frame measures 56.5 cm. Center-to-center on seat tube and 57.5 cm. C-T-C on top tube.Frame has no braze ons except a stop for the down tube shifters. Campagnola Nuovo Record Pat. 75 rear derailleur .Campanola Nuovo Record front derailleur (has no lip on front derailleur).Campagnola downtube shifters. Crankset is T.A. Professional 42-52.Atom five speed freewheel 14-26. Chain -Sedis. Saddle is leather Brooks Professional (made in 1975 with B 75 markings)Seatpost: S.R.(Japanese,not Campagnola) alloy seat post(it is a Japanese variation on the Ideale seatpin of that era). Brakes are Weinmann 999 center pull, with quick release de luxe Fitting.

Wheels are comprised of Normandy Luxe Competition hubs,with quick release skewers, with 27" X 1 1/4'' Super Champion alloy high performance rims and the original Michelin Elan H.P. gumwall tires. Handlebars and stem:PHILIPPE Professional.Motebecane plastic bar plugs, with black cotton tape. Heasdset:STRONGLIGHT Competition. Pedals: Made in France (listed as Atom) I see no marking other than made in France. Color is black enamel with red highlights and gold pinstriping.Has original riveted Motebecane headbadge showing M logo and wings (FRANCE).

I have digital photos available upon request. I do not want to part out this bicycle! The only original parts missing from this fine example of a 1975 era bicycle from what I can tell are: the toeclips and straps which are not listed in the MOTEBECANE CATALOG.
