Maybe I'm an insensitive cad (or so my ex-wife would probably allege), but I see no need for apologizing in order to pacify somebody else's ignorance. No line was crossed. Ms. Knight assumed the most perverse use of a common word (there's probably some latent psychological something-or-other going on there) and shot from the hip in an attempt to besmirch the character of a list member (oops, sorry ... how about "list corrspondent"?). Of course, I would never expect anyone with that degree of intolerant self-righteousness to ever see the error of her OWN ways.
