I don't know about Dave Lloyd, but Eddie Soens definitely coached
Singleton.
Somewhere, I have a Bicycling article about Singleton's attempt on the
world Kilo record at Mexico City. Soens helped Singleton to prepare &
accompanied him to Mexico. As I recall, the attempt on the record was
unsuccessful- stymied by bad weather. I'll try to find the magazine.
