In my 3rd edition from 1980, pages 172-173 There's a description:
"Finally after hours of practice, I realized that the only way you can safely make a turn at slow or moderate speeds is to lean slightly 'away' from the direction of turn, instead of, as on a two-wheeler, 'into' the direction of turn. In other words. on a trike, to turn right, you lean left a bit, and to turn left, you lean right, so your weight is always on the rear wheel that wants to left off the ground. It's a bit more vital to lean on the left wheel, and somewhat more heavily, when you turn right, because in most trikes, as in mine, that's the driving wheel, and you need traction when it's slippery" (he had a fixed gear conversion)
Is this what you mean?
