I have a Lyotard pedal that locked up--will not spin. I took the cap off, the locknut off, and I cannot get the cone nut or adjustable nut with a cone (if that's either the right word or one can follow what I am writing. And to think, one of my summer jobs years ago was a tech writer; good thing I didn't give up my regular job.) In any case, the side of the nut facing outward has two sides to it; it's too deep inside the pedal housing to get an appropriate wrench on either side; using the appropriate sized wrench as a fork will not fit because the sides are too close; jamming various and sundry parts, needle nose pliers, screwdrivers to one side and attempting to lock the nut and then twist the spindle has only produced frustration, aggravation, and obsencities.
Anyone face the same or similar problem and was capable of producing successful results I would certainly like to hear from.
Thank you.
Cheers.
Tom
