What would you do if you find following auction on eBay: "bici da corsa masi antica cambio campagnolo record colore rosso" no pics, no additional info, minimum bid 60Euro (=$59), three days to go, no bids yet. Has been on the italian eBay:http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1766812521 I placed a bid immedeately (look at "cronologia dell'offerta" ), of course and sent a mail asking for more details by the help of an italian colleage. I got no answer but the auction disappeared shortly after, with my bid canceled(!) and the explanation that the "item has been destroyed". Ok, we all now how likely it is that a (maybe 30-40 years?) old Masi suddenly destroys itself in the days it should be sold. My colleage is no cycle expert and has no eBay experience, so I want to ask if anybody here speaks italian and could help me finding out what's going on there. I already stopped whining and am pretty sure that I never will get it, but simply canceling my bid annoys me. Especially because I've always been honest to eBay sellers who seem to have no clue what they are selling. I even sent the guy who sold me my clear coated "Aero Masi Prestige" frame the CR Masi links before the auction ended. Also this time my mail contained the clear information that the item may be more valuable then the seller thinks.
