Dear list members: For what it's worth-I had a dent in the seat tube of my Raleigh professional (no admissions how it got there). The dent was perhaps one-quarter inch deep. I found my old Kabuki expandable seatpost lying around (works like a stem with a wedge). Inserted the seatpost, tightened the wedge and cleanly forced the dent back into normal shape. Obviously, this repair would not work in other tubes but it is workable for the seat tube . Hope this helps. TomWitkop Rockville, Md. PS-regret missing Trexel town.
