I wonder if the issue of whether the 116mm BCD GS cranksets lie within the timeline is confused by an earlier GS crankset with a 144mm BCD. Perhaps the 116mm BCD model was introduced around or just prior to the time of the Victory/Triomphe models.
I have a 144mm BCD GS crankset obtained from Hilary but haven't checked the date code on the arms. I'll check them tonight if I remember. Anybody else have 144mm and/or 116mm sets handy that they could examine?
