I had the following email from Terry Bill of Reynolds in response to my request regarding placing an order for some 531 tubing for myself and Joe Williams (Williams American Cycles):

The sales of 531 have reduced over the last 5 years as people have found how good 631 is in terms of strengths and pricing compared with 531. Our stocks are low and our steel makers are asking for a large tonnage of billet, so it is possible we could discontinue it at some time in the future. At this time we do have stocks and material. If anyone would like a copy of the price list, let me know and I'll forward same. Decent price breaks once on exceeds qty of 9 for individual tubes in the event that a "buyers club" were to form...
