The sentence about going to a meet on a `39 Evans and being told off for coming on a new bike was in no way aimed at those people wanting to ban everything dating after 1914 or some such year. Matter of fact, there is no such nonsensical discussion over here. I intended to say what great bikes those British lightweights were, to an extent that those not looking at them in depth may very well take them for being much more recent than they really are. My remark about being proud of being told off for this offence was meant to convey, of course, that I am glad to own such super bikes.
