Can't tell you dates .
But , according to Mr. Norman Taylor , the style with all the rectangles is termed "Mondrian" as in the artist , and the style with all the pointy bits on the letters is termed "Gothic" for obvious reasons .
My black , very late production , frame set has red "Gothic" graphics , and a Reynolds decal that reads "Tourist Model 531" . It also has the large and very English caps on the stays .
Speaking of those large caps on the stays , I first became really aware of them when Raleigh released the first of the 753 frames . They all had those extra large seat stay caps . The story they gave to all the magazines at the time was that since they had to use the lowest possible amount of heat , this style of seat stay cap was found to give them the maximum adhesion with the minimum heat .
No idea what the engineering facts are . That's just the information from the period press releases .
Now I know it was also a style used by several English builders , way back when .
