--I do appreciate the ebay outings of items that are of interest to list members. We are all too busy to keep track of every auction category in every country (thanks Steven Maasland for the German, French and Italian eBay outings). No matter how sophisticated our keyword searches are, items will slip through due to misspellings, etc. On more than a few occasions bikes and components have been outed that I intended to bid on. I still was able to be high bidder against CR members and non members alike on several auctions, beat out on others. I don't feel cheated out of these outed auctions and I don't feel a sense of entitlement to auctions I discover on my own. I also don't think we can have it both ways, alerting the CR list to our own auctions while disapproving of others pointing out the auctions of 3rd parties. What distresses me is the apparent dirty pool exhibited on the recently ended '40s Legnano. Just my opinion. Flame away if you feel a need. Jay Van De Velde Seal Beach, CA
