531 was a material not a tubeset. any variation that comprised a 'set' of tubes could've come with a bonifide 531 sticker of the period. furthermore, in the early 70s when i bought individual 531 tubes from england, though perhaps omitting a seatstay here-a top tube there, reynolds would still include a pile of stickers in the bill of lading envelope. go figure... 531 came in the typical diameters, each main triangle tube available in straight or at least 2 different butt (heh. heh, heh...) combinations, and the forks and rear stays came in a dizzying aray of choices, plus 'to order'. also, there were various decal iterations, as well as decal which spoke to what tubes were in fact 531 butted versus simply 531 tubes (as in, "straight guage"). are you asking about the decal 'art' or are use asking about the differing tube combos? e-RICHIE Richard Sachs Cycles No.9, North Main Street Chester, CT 06412 USA http://www.richardsachs.com Tel. 860.526.2059
